Learning Journal Entry #5
What did I learn?-
In this learning module I learned about how to optimize images using a tool called webresizer. I made the file size of the picture smaller, cropped my picture and also rounded it. I also learned how to create an image slideshow using a tool called kizoa. Along with using these new tools I also learned a lot about file sharing, peer to peer sharing, copyright infringement, etc.
I feel like I put a lot of effort into this shorter learning module. I really like the way my web labs turned out also!
<----- My optimized image.

New Terminology-
- GIF (graphic interchange format)- The most popular graphic files on the Web. Most browsers and other software can easily read them.
- Cloud computing- A series of web based services, which hosts programs using their server structure. Ex: google docs, YouTube.
- FTP server- Identifies a user on an FTP site by his/her user IP. A user with the correct permissions can copy, delete, rename files, make directories, remove directories and view details about files and directories on the remote computer.
- Vector images- Based on points. By defining the start and end of many points, a shape can be drawn. Unlike bitmap images that define an image using pixels and locked resolution.
